Horizontal Fiber Optic Splice Closure – 16 Core Waterproof Cable Joint Box
- ConnectorType:LC/SC/ST/FC,APC/UPC
- PortType:Simplex,duplex
Overview
The horizontal fiber optic splice closure is a compact and robust enclosure used for protecting and organizing outdoor fiber optic splices. Constructed from high-tensile engineering plastics like ABS or PC+ABS, it offers strong UV, corrosion, and weather resistance while achieving an IP66–IP68 rating. Designed for aerial, underground, wall, or pipeline installations, its flat—often cylindrical—profile provides easy access and convenient deployment across different outdoor environments.
Main Features
• Reliable mechanical or elastic integrated sealing ensures full waterproof and dustproof protection, avoiding the need for messy gels.
• Supports high capacity—ranging from 12 up to 288 (or more) fiber splices depending on tray configuration.
• Equipped with hinged or booklet-style splice trays providing a gentle fiber bend radius (e.g., ≥ 40 mm), allowing easy access for individual fiber management.
• Designed for versatile deployment: aerial, buried, wall-mounted, pipeline, manhole, or underground applications.
• Able to endure demanding environments, with operational temperature ranges typically between –40 °C to +65 °C (or even up to 80 °C for some models), along with strong mechanical resistance.
Specifications
Splice Capacity & Trays
• Capacity varies across models: from 12–96 cores in compact versions (e.g., UF‑3042A‑UF‑3049A series), up to 432 cores in high‑density models.
Dimensions & Cable Ports
• Example dimensions: 396 × 190 × 126 mm (UF‑3042A series) with 6 cable ports. Larger variants reach 460 × 180 × 120 mm, or up to 460 × 220 × 160 mm, supporting 4–8 ports on each side and providing abundant cable entry points.
Durability & Environment
• IP66–IP68 rating ensures strong water and dust ingress protection. Constructed to resist UV, acid/alkali, and mechanical stress, with insulation resistance ≥ 2×10⁴ MΩ and voltage resistance up to 15 kV DC.
Mounting & Deployment
• Flexible installation options include aerial poles, overhead lines, wall mounting, embedded pipelines, and deployment in manholes or direct-burial environments.
Applications
Widely used in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) access, CATV, telecom backbone lines, and metropolitan network infrastructure, horizontal splice closures offer a high-capacity, durable solution for outdoor fiber splicing. Their sealed design and scalability make them ideal for long-haul, high-density deployments, as well as rapid restoration in emergency fiber repair scenarios.
Opticlink have a total of 8pieces production lines, include FTTH drop cable, Central loose cable and stranded fiber cable production , modernized dust-free workshops, and high-performance processing equipment. From raw material procurement, to finished product processing, to product quality testing, to packaging and export, we have a full range of production lines.
