Type test

Type testing may be exempted if the manufacturer provides certificates for similar products tested by an internationally recognized and independent testing organization or laboratory.

If type testing is required, it will be conducted based on a mutually agreed-upon test procedure between the purchaser and the manufacturer.

Routine test

Optical attenuation coefficients are measured on all production cable lengths in accordance with IEC 60793-1-CIC using the backscattering (OTDR) method.

Standard single-mode fibers are tested at wavelengths of 1310 nm and 1550 nm, while non-zero dispersion-shifted (NZDS) fibers are tested at 1550 nm.

Factory test

Factory acceptance testing is performed on two cable samples per order, witnessed by the customer or their representative.

The quality requirements and evaluation criteria are based on applicable standards and pre-agreed quality plans.
