Product Description

GYFTY Description
The GYFTY type optical cable places the 250 μm optical fiber in a loose sleeve made of high modulus plastic, and the sleeve is filled with waterproof filler. The center of the optical cable is fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) as a non-metallic reinforcing member. The cable sleeve and the filler are twisted to form a compact circular cable core around the reinforcing member. After the cable core is filled with waterproof filler, the PE sheath is finally used to complete the cable formation.
Product features of GYFTY
1:Good mechanical and temperature properties
2:High-strength loose casing, resistant to hydrolysis
3:Special casing filler plays a key role in protecting optical fibers
4:Anti-extrusion, good flexibility
5:Single fiber-reinforced plastic as a central reinforcement
6:Light weight, small diameter, easy installation
Application:
Pipes, overhead.

Packaging Requirements:
- 1:All cables shall be wound on treated wooden spools that are not returnable
- 2:Cable ends must be firmly secured to the spool and protected with waterproof shrink caps
- 3:Each spool must include:
- 1、 Protective plastic wrapping layer
- 2、 Reinforcing wooden slats for stability
- 3、 Minimum 1m of free cable end for testing purposes
- 4、 Standard spool length: 3000mm (±2% tolerance allowed)
Cable Identification:
The outer jacket must display:
- 1、Unique sequential numbering every 1m (±1% variance permitted)
- 2、 Additional repeating markings at 1m intervals showing:
- 1、 Product code and fiber count
- 2、 Manufacturer identification
- 3、 Production date (month/year)
- 4、Total cable length
Standard Packaging Dimensions:
| Length | Container | Size (L×W×H) | Net Mass | Total Mass |

Spool Marking Standards:
Permanent markings (minimum 25-30mm height) must appear on both sides of each spool:
- 1、 Company name and trademark
- 2、Contained cable length
- 3、Cable specifications (type/fiber count)
- 4、Winding orientation
- 5、Weight measurements (gross/net)
Note: All wooden packaging materials must undergo proper fumigation treatment prior to use.

Opticlink have a total of 8pieces production lines, include FTTH drop cable, Central loose cable and stranded fiber cable production , modernized dust-free workshops, and high-performance processing equipment. From raw material procurement, to finished product processing, to product quality testing, to packaging and export, we have a full range of production lines. The following are some of the actual photos of the workshop

1. What makes GYFTY different from armored cables like GYTS or GYTA?
GYFTY is a non-metallic, non-armored fiber optic cable, which uses aramid yarn for tensile strength instead of steel or aluminum armor. This makes it lightweight, dielectric, and resistant to electromagnetic interference (EMI) — ideal near power lines or in areas with electrical noise.
2. Is this cable suitable for aerial or duct installation?
Yes. GYFTY is commonly used in overhead aerial deployments or duct installations where metallic elements are not permitted. It’s not recommended for direct burial without conduit due to its lack of armor.
3. What is the fiber core capacity of this cable?
The GYFTY cable supports 2 to 288 cores of G.652D or G.655 single-mode fibers, providing flexibility for backbone, metro, or access network deployment.
4. Does the all-dielectric design improve safety or performance?
Absolutely. The all-dielectric construction ensures the cable is non-conductive, which greatly improves safety in high-voltage or lightning-prone areas. It also eliminates the risk of ground loops or electrical conduction through the cable.
5. What are the ideal use cases for GYFTY cable?
GYFTY is best used in:
High-voltage corridors or power line routes
Aerial telecom networks
EMI-sensitive environments (e.g., substations)
FTTx and long-span deployments without metal
